About Surabharathi Foundation
Sri Surabharathi Sanskrit and Cultural Foundation, a non-profit trust, was founded in Bengaluru in 2002 by Vidwan Shri K. L. Srinivasan, with the blessings of Jagadguru Sankaracharya Sri Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswami ji of Sringeri Sharada Peetham. The objective of Surabharathi is to nurture and strengthen the roots of Sanatana Dharma and our rich cultural heritage.
Hailing from a family of traditional Sanatana Dharma scholars and practitioners, Vidwan Srinivasan learnt Taittiriya Yajur Veda in the Gurukula paddhati, followed by post-graduation in Naveena Nyaya (Tarka Shastra).
By divine grace, he also had the opportunity to learn Nyaya Shastra under the direct tutelage of the Sringeri Jagadguru and to serve His Holiness in different capacities over the past several decades.
Since its inception, under the visionary leadership of Vidwan Shri K.L. Srinivasan, Surabharathi has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of families in Bengaluru. Students, professionals, entrepreneurs, homemakers, and senior citizens come together daily to engage in structured learning of Vedas, Puranas, Sanskrit, Shastras, Stotras, and Sadhanas, while continuing to balance their household and professional responsibilities.
In the year 2022 a grand temple complex of Shri Sharada Mata flanked by Shri Lakshmi Venkateshwara and Adi Shankara along with Sri Maha Ganapathy and Sri Subrahmaneshwara was consecrated by His Holiness Jagadguru Sannidhanam Sri Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Maha Swami Ji following which Trikala Pooja of the Deities are being performed by the disciples of Sri Surabharathi.
