On 16 October 2026, during the Śrī Śāradā Śarannavarātri Mahotsava, the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, Dr. Sudha Yadav, visited Sri Surabharathi for darśana. The visit took place on the day she assumed office as Governor.
Pūjā was offered at the sannidhis of the temple, and prasāda was presented to the Governor. Vidwan Sri K. L. Srinivasan honoured the Governor on behalf of Sri Surabharathi.
The Governor then visited the Lalitāmbikā-themed Gombe arrangement prepared by the students of Sri Surabharathi and interacted with them. She also offered her prayers at the grand Gombe arrangement in the auditorium.
